October 1, 2008 Hunt-Scanlon Names Andrea Jung of Avon Products as 2008 Human Capital Advantage Award Recipient

Greenwich, CT, October 1, 2008 - Hunt-Scanlon Advisors, the leading provider of news, information and analysis on the executive search and human capital industries, announced today that it will present Andrea Jung, chairman and chief executive officer at Avon Products, Inc., with the 2008 Hunt-Scanlon Human Capital Advantage Award. Ms. Jung is the eighth recipient of the award, which recognizes a leading U.S. chief executive who demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to human capital management initiatives and has led his or her organization to long-term sustainable success. Past winners include Jeff Fettig of Whirlpool Corporation; Robert Nardelli of The Home Depot; Roger Farah of Polo Ralph Lauren; Michael J. Critelli of Pitney Bowes; William Wrigley Jr. of The Wrigley Company; Henry McKinnell of Pfizer; and Indra Nooyi of PepsiCo. Hunt-Scanlon will present the award at its annual New York Human Capital Conference, "Workforce Strategies for Global Employers," to be held October 7-8 at the Metropolitan Club. Since joining Avon as chief executive officer in 1999, Ms. Jung has put a strong focus on human capital management and essential leadership qualities. Ms. Jung joined Avon in January 1994 as president of Product Marketing Group, Avon U.S. and continued to ascend to senior level positions such as president and chief operating officer. Prior to this, Ms. Jung was executive vice president at Neiman Marcus from 1991 to 1993 and was also senior vice president, general merchandising manager at I. Magnin from 1987 to 1991.
