Hunt-Scanlon's Chicago Conference Is a Sold-Out Success

Stamford, CT, June 12, 2001Hunt-Scanlon Advisors, a market research firm and information provider to the human capital and executive recruiting industries, hosted a sell-out crowd of senior-level executives at its second Human Capital Advantage conference last week at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Chicago. The event, "Strategies in Recruiting and Retaining World Class Talent," gathered over 225 top human resource and recruiting professionals from over 100 Chicago area companies to discuss how great companies are winning the war for talent.

Significant highlights from the event included keynote addresses from three leading chief executives: Gregory D. Brenneman, Chairman and CEO of TurnWorks Inc.; Gerard R. Roche, Senior Chairman of Heidrick & Struggles International; and Harry M. Jansen Kraemer Jr., Chairman and CEO of Baxter International. Rounding out the conference agenda were individual presentations and panel discussions delivered by senior-level executives from leading corporations and executive search firms including: Bank One, Credit Suisse First Boston, Exelon, Hewitt Associates, Lear Corporation, Nicor, Navistar International, Ray & Berndtson, Shepherd Bueschel & Provus, Spencer Stuart and Tellabs.

The audience was comprised of more than 225 attendees representing over 100 corporations, executive search firms, staffing service providers, investment banks, venture capital firms and major media outlets. Approximately 45 percent of the attendees were in the corporate HR function, 40 percent of the attendees were executive search consultants and the remaining 15 percent provided related human capital management consulting services. Fifteen percent of the audience members carried the title CEO, President or Chairman. Another 16 percent held the title of VP or SVP, while another 13 percent were managing directors or directors.
