Hunt-Scanlon Appoints Board of Advisors to Recruiting Industry Conference Unit

Stamford, CT, July 27, 2000 - Hunt-Scanlon Advisors, the nation's leader in providing market intelligence and online information resources for senior-level Internet recruiting and executive search professionals, today named an Advisory Board to provide strategic counsel to the company’s newly formed Recruiting Industry Conference and Special Events Unit.

Advisory Board member overviews:

Andrew Ackemann, Senior Vice President of Human Capital Management at Gartner Group, was previously Director of Professional Personnel and a Consultant to McKinsey & Company since 1988. Before joining McKinsey, Mr. Ackemann served as Staffing Director for the worldwide commercial sector of Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He also served as an officer in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, as well as a national safety inspector for the five U.S. Outward Bound Schools and for the National Outdoor Leadership School.

James E. Boone, named President of the Americas for Korn/Ferry International on March 1, 1999, is responsible for the North America and Latin America regions for the firm. Prior to entering the search industry in 1985, Mr. Boone worked at numerous corporations, including Honeywell, Humana Corporation, and Digital Equipment Corporation.

H. Perry Boyle Jr. is a leading equity analyst who follows the Internet recruiting industry for merchant bank Thomas Weisel Partners, where he serves as a Partner. He joined the firm in February 1999. Mr. Boyle is the author of the weekly e-recruiting newsletter Labor Daze and previously covered staffing stocks as an equity analyst at BT Alex Brown.

A. David Brown, having served as a corporate human resource specialist for 25 years, has watched the advancement of minority executives from inside corporate America. Starting with R.H. Macy & Co., he served 12 years as senior vice president of human resources, overseeing 50,000 employees in five divisions. In 1994, Mr. Brown became an executive search consultant, first as a retail/fashion specialist with Korn Ferry International, and, more recently as Managing Director of the diversity practice at Whitehead Mann Pendleton James, where he heads the firm’s New York office.

Katherine S. Bryant, Director of Corporate Communications for Russell Reynolds Associates, joined the firm in 1992. She previously was with Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising as a Director of New Business Development. Prior to that Ms. Bryant was Director of Advertising and Marketing at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Incorporated. Earlier in her career she was with The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. as a Second Vice President and Lending Officer.

Michael P. Castine is an experienced executive search professional. He was a Partner with Highland Search Group, a leading financial services executive search firm. Before that, he was Partner and Managing Director of the Global Financial Services Unit of Spencer Stuart, a premier international executive search firm. Mr. Castine recently opened the Stamford office of TMP Worldwide, where he serves as Managing Partner and Global Co-Head, Sector Development. Before entering executive search, Mr. Castine served in the Reagan White House where he held Directorships at the National Security Council and the office of Private Sector Initiatives.

John Delpino was recently appointed Director, Executive Staffing for PepsiCo, having previously led staffing for Pepsi Cola Company since transferring from Frito-Lay in October, 1988. He additionally is responsible for managing the relationship with PepsiCo’s worldwide executive search providers. Prior to joining Frito-Lay, Mr. Delpino was a Manager in Arthur Young’s Executive Search practice, and spent over six years as a Managing Partner for Corporate Staffing Group, a contingency recruiting firm. He began his business career with Philadelphia Gear Corporation.

Kelly A. Flynn, a Vice President and equity analyst for PaineWebber, began covering companies in the sector traditionally dubbed "staffing." As changes in technology and the labor market have catalyzed new business models, Ms. Flynn has altered her focus. Companies she follows today fall under the rubric of human capital management business services, and include Korn/Ferry International, (whose initial public offering was co-managed by PaineWebber), Heidrick & Struggles, TMP Worldwide, Hotjobs.com and Spherion. Before joining PaineWebber in 1997, Ms. Flynn was an equity analyst at investment bank Furman Selz.

Smooch S. Reynolds is a communications search specialist and President of Pasadena-based The Repovich-Reynolds Group. Prior to establishing her firm in 1987, Ms. Reynolds was director of executive search and, later, director of human resources, for Hill and Knowlton's Western United States region. Ms. Reynolds is a frequent speaker at major professional industry gatherings and regularly addresses chapters of the Public Relations Society of America, the National Investors Relations Institute and IABC.

Brian M. Sullivan is Practice Managing Partner - Global Financial Services for Heidrick & Struggles International. Prior to his firm's acquisition by Heidrick in 1999, Mr. Sullivan was president and CEO of Sullivan & Company, a premier financial services recruiting specialist firm he founded in 1988. Mr. Sullivan recruits senior financial services executives, ranging from CEOs of investment management firms to heads of divisions for major global investment banks.
