| May 3, 2001 HotJobs.com Q1 Revenues Rise; Net Losses Narrow Slightly HotJobs.com, Ltd./(NASDAQ:HOTJ), an Internet-based recruiting solutions company, reported first quarter revenues of $33.6 million for the period ended March 31, 2001, compared to $14.9 million for the first quarter one year ago, an increase of 142 percent. Net loss for the first quarter, including charges totaling 21 cents per share, was $13.6 million, or 37 cents per basic and diluted share, compared to $12.3 million, or 39 cents per share in the same period one year ago. Operating loss per share for the quarter was 16 cents, excluding restructuring charges and the non-cash compensation and amortization of goodwill charges, beating the First Call consensus estimates by one cent. On a sequential basis, the company's first quarter revenues rose 6.7 percent over the fourth quarter 2000, when revenues were $31.5 million. That's a slightly lower growth rate than that between the third and fourth quarters in 2000, when revenues rose 9.3 percent. |
