| November 22, 2000 Publisher IDG Creates Best Places To Work JobPostings At Itcareers.com IDG, the Massachusetts-based publisher of such magazines as Computerworld, CIO and NetworkWorld, and creator of numerous Websites for technologists, including itcareers.com, for job seekers, has unveiled a feature that integrates aspects of its traditional print publications with its online ventures. Itcareers.com now lists openings at employers ranked as the top places for technologists, as determined by Computerworld magazine, separately from openings posted by other employers. The current top 100 companies include United Stationers, Inc., GATX Rail and Staples, Inc.; the best employers list has been compiled annually by ComputerWorld's editorial staff for seven years. "There are so many jobpostings on the Web. We though we could provide employers with a way to distinguish themselves," says Mark Williams, president and coo of Itcareers.com. |
