| November 15, 2000 Online Recruiting Firms Add Human Touch To Service Offerings A growing trend among online employment sites is to human beings to the recruiting process. 6Figurejobs.com, Jobs.com and MediaBistro.com are each adding flesh-and-blood professionals to prescreen and prequalify candidates for clients. 6FigureJobs.com recently hired Ann Fastiggi, formerly of Heidrick & Struggles International/(NASDAQ:HSII), as its director of recruiting services. In her new role, Ms. Fastiggi will deliver a fixed number of prequalified and interested candidates to employers. Jobs.com has just hooked up with Internet sourcing service Recruiters-Aid to offer employers access to a team of Internet Recruiters who will search for candidates and screen them. MediaBistro.com is currently in a soft launch of a service due to roll out early in 2001 that offers prescreened, prequalified candidates to employers. The Manhattan-based company also hosts monthly networking parties in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and London. |
