| November 13, 2000 Global Network for Women In Technology Launches Careers Site World Women in Technology, a free, global network for women in technology-related professions, has unveiled a new site, www.worldwit.org, featuring career-related information and access to list-servs used by over 5,000 women in major markets globally. The WorldWit's purpose is to build networks among women for funding businesses and help participants explore career opportunities. Internet services firm RareMedium, headquartered in New York City, donated time and resources to creating and launching the new site. WorldWit was founded in July 1999 by Liz Ryan, a U.S. Robotics vice president. |
