TMP Worldwide Buys Three Firms To Build Executive Resourcing Division

In a move to build its middle-level staffing capabilities, recruitment solutions provider TMP Worldwide Inc./(NASDAQ:TMPW), has purchased SCI Search Competence International of Sweden; San Francisco-based Stratascape, Inc., and Accounting Solutions, located in the San Francisco Bay area. The combined businesses have annual commissions and fees of approximately $12.1 million. SCI Search Competence International, in Stockholm, TMP Worldwide's first entrée into Sweden, specializes in recruiting information technology and telecom professionals via a traditional staffing agency model and an online site. Stratascape is an information technology consultancy that recruits, screens and hires contract workers for technology projects, while Accounting Solutions places accounting and finance professionals on a contract basis. In addition to building TMP Worldwide's Executive Resourcing division, the acquisitions will also complement two online career communities launched earlier this year on Monster.com, Monster Finance and Monster Technology, according to a press release from TMP Worldwide.
