| November 6, 2000 Heidrick & Struggles Creates New Structure For IT, Financial Services Practices Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International/(NASDAQ:HSII) has created a new organizational structure for each of its largest practices, information technology and financial services. Each of the two practices is now managed globally, overseen by a managing partner. Kevin McNerney is the new head of global information technology, while Brian Sullivan has responsibility for global financial services. The new practices will operate in conjunction with the firm's traditional geographic office profit-and-loss structure, in an effort to provide industry practice leaders with more authority to build strong global practices than was possible under the former practice organization, according to the company. "This gives Brian and Kevin stronger joint responsibility on staffing, strategy, and resource allocation," says John Gardner, president, global practices at Heidrick & Struggles International. As part of the new structure, the global financial services practice is opening a dedicated office in the city of London, and the technology practice is opening two offices, one in an as-yet-undetermined location in Europe, and the other in Austin, TX. |
