Hans Gieskes Named Monster.com President

The former president and CEO of Lexis-Nexis Group, Hans Gieskes, is the new president of TMP Worldwide's Interactive Division. In this newly created role, Mr. Gieskes reports to Jeff Taylor, founder and CEO of Monster.com, and will oversee the day-to-day management and operations of Monster.com. Mr. Taylor will continue to focus on global strategy, branding and alliances for Monster.com, with increasing focus on overall TMP Interactive initiatives. A twenty-year employee of global publisher Reed Elsevier, Mr. Gieskes served as the head of Lexis-Nexis Group for two-and-a-half years before stepping down in March 2000. ''Hans's database experience will be critical as we develop and refine how we mine the values of our databases,'' says Mr. Taylor.
