MediaBistro.com Receives $1 Million in First-Round Financing

Manhattan-headquartered employment site MediaBistro.com has secured $1 million in venture capital in a round led by New York City-based venture fund Gotham Partners. Additional investors in the careers site aimed at developing community and delivering job opportunities to media professionals include Martin Peretz, owner of the New Republic magazine. The new money will be used for marketing, staffing and general administrative purposes.
