Jobvite Appoints Former Head of Yahoo! HotJobs As CEO
Jobvite, provider of next-generation recruitment solutions, has appointed Dan Finnigan as president and chief executive officer. In his new role, Mr. Finnigan will lead the company, working closely alongside Jobvite founder and former CEO, Jesper Schultz, who will take the role of chief product officer. Previously, Mr. Finnigan served as senior vice president of Yahoo! and general manager of Yahoo! HotJobs. At Yahoo! he drove substantial growth in revenue, profitability and traffic for the HotJobs business, culminating in establishing Yahoo and HotJobs' partnership with a consortium of over 700 newspapers, today representing 41 percent of total Sunday circulation in the U.S. Prior to Yahoo!, Mr. Finnigan led the creation of Knight Ridder Digital, subsidiary of the second largest newspaper company, serving as president and CEO. "Along with an outstanding track record, Dan brings a deep understanding of customer needs, as well as growth opportunities in the recruiting arena," said Mr. Schultz. "With Dan's experience in business strategy and execution, Jobvite is well-positioned to build upon our leadership position in the market and to take advantage of the explosive growth in software as a service and professional networking online. Korn/Ferry Expands External Affairs Center Of Expertise
Executive search firm Korn/Ferry International has announced several key changes within its external affairs center of expertise. Effective immediately, the practice has been renamed the corporate affairs center of expertise. This move is intended to more appropriately reflect the scope of expertise the practice provides both domestically and internationally. The new practice, with its team of search consultants, will specialize in three core areas -- corporate communications, government relations and investor relations. The team is comprised of former practitioners who have more than 75 years of functional leadership experience in the specialties they service. Concurrent with this announcement, Richard Marshall has been named managing director, corporate affairs center of expertise. Mr. Marshall, based in New York, assumes the day-to-day leadership of the practice and will continue to lead senior-level corporate communications and investor relations assignments. Nels Olson, former managing director of the external affairs center of expertise and now managing director of Korn/Ferry's Northeast U.S. region, will continue to lead the government relations segment of the practice. "This practice has posted three consecutive years of impressive growth, including a firm leading +50 percent revenue growth in our just completed fiscal year, "said Bob Damon, president of North America, Korn/Ferry. "The team has also landed some of biggest and most prestigious searches in its category. We look forward to the practice's continued growth and evolution under Richard's leadership." Mr. Marshall joined Korn/Ferry as a senior client partner in 2005 following a 20-year career in industry, where he held the senior-most communications and public affairs positions at Home Depot, Silicon Graphics and Subaru of America.
JamesDruryPartners Places Heinz CEO On Board At Emerson Electric Co.
