Make Chartered Fishing a Part of Your Vacation

boatsA curious thing has taken place in manufacturing over the past year or so: Companies which had left the U.S. in favor of Chinese factories – and labor – have begun moving back home. Why? Chinese wages have gone up substantially, as have shipping rates, and American productivity is as high as it’s ever been (our smaller workforce is performing roughly the same amount of work). It may mean more jobs, but for those of us who are employed, it means working more and working harder.

Vacations are at a Premium

The recession has forced many people to endure “stay-cations” over the last couple of years, and as the economy starts turning the corner, a lot of people are going to want to do something big this year, something grander than Lobster Boy or the World’s Biggest Hay Bale. Warm coastal states are great for laying on the beach, outdoor dining and entertainment, and sport fishing that is the envy of the rest of the world.

A Vacation Unlike any Other

Chartering a deep sea fishing expedition will make it a vacation worth remembering. It’s not just the excitement of hooking onto the biggest fish you’ve ever seen in your life; just the beauty and openness of the ocean is enough of a treat for most people. Half-day and full-day tours are available just about wherever the land meets the sea, and the competition is fierce, which keeps the prices reasonable. There are 12 weekends in every summer. Only a couple of them are truly going to be yours.
